Ease of use
The software is designed to be highly intuitive and user-friendly and can be used by any transcriptionist. It is fully integrated into the native iOS dictation app and supports speech recognition for English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Japanese. Transcription is supported by English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese voices and the user can choose the voice to fit the content of their document, using the built-in recognition engine.
The software also features the new fully customizable and automated word prediction tool to help transcriptionists to get on top of their dictation sessions.
File management
When creating, reviewing and editing a text file with the Dragon dictation app, the user can simply tap the Dictate button to start a recording and save the audio content, the corresponding text to the audio in a standard audio file, or the text as a standard text file. A novel feature of the new Dragon dictation app is the ability to annotate the text (to highlight the speaker's text, name, email address, time, date, etc.) and thus create a file that can be easily referenced and searched.
If the text is already in text format, it can be immediately transcribed directly from the audio file, and the corresponding text appears on the document. If the audio is not transcribed, a dialog box allows the transcriptionist to select which transcription engine to use, the user can also manage multiple transcription engines and associate them with the audio file.
Editing
When using the "Edit Document" feature of the app, the software enables the user to view the transcription directly on the iOS device, as well as preview and print it.
